Change is good.
There is something refreshing, yet all together intimidating about a clean slate, a blank page, a white canvas. It is 11:41 pm on a Sunday evening and I just spent the last half hour or so of my life deciding how to start off my new blog. I love blogs. I have a lot of friends who blog. I have a lot of friends make their living writing for blogs. I on the other hand, am not a writer. I am an artist. I am a teacher. I am a wife. I am a student of life.
Growing up, my dad always said, “Today is the first day of the rest of your life.” There is no better time than 12:02 am on a Monday (and yes, it took me that long to get this far. I told you I am not a writer.), when I have to get up in 5 hours and greet my 193 elementary students I will interact with throughout my Monday, to start a blog.
Being an artist, I am a visual person, so my posts are usually going to be short, sweet, and to the point with some photos. I am a BIG fan of Instagram and unlike some people, I believe that anyone can be an artist though something as simple as an app on a phone.
This is my husband. He is my rock and my world. He supports me in anything and everything I do. He makes my dreams come true and I am thankful for every day that I have with him.
We have been happily married for over 4 years and have a wonderful cat named Webber, who we adopted from a shelter two years ago. He is a ninja and the three of us have wonderful adventures together. Although I am NOT a crazy cat lady, I will not apologize ahead of time
I don\’t think it\’s necessary to be a \”writer\” to have a good blog. Honestly, I would much rather read a blog like yours that is written in a chat-with-a-friend type of style than something \”professional\”. It makes me feel more connected to the blogger and more like I\’m part of their journey somehow. 🙂
